New York City... my first love!
Me and my quirky-self go on a little adventure…
So I wanted to start off this blog with a “Getting to know me” style post. You have to know who I am and what I love before you can vibe with my idea of traveling and fun and relaxation.
I am not a picture person. Never have been. I don’t know why but standing in front of a camera and posing just made me want to run ever since I was a little girl. I was always quirky. Always weird. Always “too out there” or “too loud” or “Kriti what the heck are you doing out there on that tree”. shrugs It’s who I’ve always been. So my idea of having a fun time was to retreat into my quirky shell and just explore (sometimes completely mindlessly).
And what better place to call home than the quirky New York City. If you ever feel like no one gets you, stand in the middle of a New York City street and just watch the many beautiful quirky souls that walk by. No one judges you. Or rather, no one gives a flying tush about anyone’s judgement here. So if there’s one thing you need to know about this city is- it may seem uninviting but it accepts you like a comfortable shoe or a broken-in pair of jeans.
When we think of New York City what comes to mind? I’d say:
Times Square
Statue of liberty
Ferry Rides
Pizza
Central Park
Friends (the TV Show)
People… lots and lots of people
Subways
Street Performances
And since this is a travel blog (for the most part) and my first love is New York City, I am going to dedicate an entire page to it. In that page you will find tips from locals, how to navigate busy touristy spots, battling the subway blues, and more. But what will come through is my insane love for it. And hopefully, I’ll help make your trip to my home less painful leaving you time to turn usual corners and making great memories! ;)
See you there.
Happy Wanderlusting you beautiful unusual weirdos,
Kriti
