Breathe...
To make this journey into exploring New York City less painful… a helpful mantra- Breathe and taking in the moment!
Okay so you’ve landed at one of our 3 connecting airports, or you’re stuck in traffic at one of the several bridges or tunnels bringing you into the city, or you’re in the middle of chaos at Penn Station or Port Authority or Grand Central. Point is- you’re almost here!!
Firstly, YAY!!!!! Welcome to this amazing city ‘we’ call home!
Secondly, breathe! I know it seems overwhelming but breathe… I’ve realized when I’m frazzled I just get out of the fun of a moment and into stress-mode. Nah. We’re going to navigate this ridiculous but crazy awesome city together.
Before you landed here I hope you packed the following (or if you didn’t, pick these essentials up to survive summer in NYC):
Comfortable walking shoes. I don’t mean sorta comfortable ones that look cute. I mean COMFORT first. Whatever rocks your sole. Flats, heels, etc. Forget Sex and the City. That’s for people cab-ing it from point A to point B. And that’s really no way to enjoy this city.
Change. I know you’re used to Apple Pay and Google Pay (and so am I). But have some cash on hand. Some forthcoming places are cash only but they’re worth it.
Deodorant. Not just for armpits, but also for chub-rubs. (Where’re my thick thigh chicas at?! Woot Woot)
Patience. LOL.
Appetite!! We love food on this blog. shrugs
